Over the past few months, the desire and calling to create constantly has been at the forefront of my heart and mind. The Idea that through L O V E  we have everything within us to create anything we can visualize, has become an unquestioned reality for me, and with that has come the inevitable test. Early morning last Wednesday, 10/19/10, I asked myself the question, “I wonder if I can create an album in a week?” Immediately after thinking it, I knew I couldn’t leave it rhetorical, and if I replied to myself with the only possible correct answer, I knew it meant, “do it now!”

and so the journey began…

To try and put my experience  while creating this EP into words is a bit of a challenge, as these past 7 days have been a lesson in feeling, creating and receiving vibrations. However, to say the least, it was blessed, enlightened and rewarding, and in regards to my desire to create constantly? Accomplished. Not only musically, visually, or even physically for that matter, but through connection with friends and like minds, through sharing ideas,  meals, spaces, energies… I was reminded that to create constantly, is to be present – we must choose to align ourselves with the positive creative vibrations already happening constantly in our universe, thus enabling us to create in any way, by simply living and conducting a vibration of Love guided intentions..

The day following the completion of H(eye)LAND,  this truth was confirmed to me in the form of a lime…

As friends and I stood in Highland Park Ca. in the front garden of one of the most beautiful, vibe heavy homes I have had the privilege to experience, we noticed a citrus tree branch peeking from the side of the house. Not sure what kind of citrus it was, I decided to go and examine it a bit closer.  Confirmed it was a lime as I approached, reached for the first lime I saw, and as I pulled it towards me, I noticed it bore a symbol…

A perfect spiral with what seemed to be resin or residue from the tree. While many other limes also had traces of the same residue, none formed a shape besides this one. I immediately took it from the tree, went inside, silently expressed gratitude and set it on an altar the ladies of the house arranged beautifully above the fire place. I couldn’t explain the who or what,  and didn’t want to – All I knew is that vibrationally it was meant for all of us to see and share together in that moment. Especially  following the abundance of positively aligned experiences we all had the week leading up to that climax…We were blessed

As I mentioned in the previous post, at heart, Life Translations is a daily experimental journey I have begun, intended to remove expectation and fear from the art that I am inspired to create through my life experience.

To further explain, Life translations are my daily meditations, creations reflective of my daily life experience. They are pieces of music / photo / video / any art, inclusive of sounds and imagery collected from my immediate surroundings, created, and essentially completed in the same day, so as to maintain the purity of the initial inspiration which birthed the art.

The Idea is to Live, Collect, Translate, and Release. I live, collect audible and visual fragments of my experience throughout the day, compile them with as little editing and interference as possible, then give away the purest form of the creation, before more layers or pieces are added.

It is a process I am thoroughly enjoying and learning a lot from every day. Very blessed that I can share it with all of you, and hopefully provide some healing L O V E tones for your day to day.

We all have the ability within us to create any and everything we can visualize. This project has been my teacher in internalizing this lesson.

The vision for this and all future works is to transcend the idea of being a “producer” and really any title that we as creators limit ourselves to. True love for art lies in the freedom to exist and create  freely through whatever medium feels right. To acknowledge that the only boundaries ever present, are the ones we put up ourselves. F O R M, like LOVE,  is infinite.  That being true,  I was inspired to create a piece of art inclusive of more than one sensory dimension. Something to see, something to touch, something to keep, a physical interpretation of the same LOVE energy that created the music…

Over the last month and a half, I have invested mind body and spirit  into independently producing a limited  pressing of FORM,  in one of my favorite formats; cassette….

100 cassettes tapes, dubbed and hand designed 1 by 1,  with original cover art painted on 36″x48″ canvas, then cut into 100 4″ x 4″ cassette inserts. Giving each cassette buyer a one of a kind, 1/100th of the original painting (Painting to be revealed in its entirety at a later date).

This season has been one of constant shift. Depending on one’s chosen level of perception, this shift can be seen as good or bad. In my case, I see it as good. It is in the Universe’s nature to maintain balance. So, though this summer has taken many lives from us, it has also brought life unto us. It is with that surge of life that we are becoming aware of what is essential for our existence. It is not money, material wealth or social popularity. It is Love, Health, and Creation. Three elements that we are born with and need no exterior source to provide for us. We all have the gift of love, we all are capable of healing ourselves, and we are all co-creators with The Creator, capable of manifesting as vessels of the highest universal frequency.

This passed June we experienced the loss of a spirit that though constantly confronted with demons, accepted his responsibility to carry out his purpose as a lover and creator to the fullest degree he was capable of. Michael Jackson gave until he could no longer, and even in his passing…he gave. With his transition, he released his spirit back into the universe, affecting all of us through energy. Awakening our 6th sense and a trust in our God given gifts, we have rediscovered love…

Personally, this summer has birthed and re-birthed many connections to God/Love that I either lost track of or never knew I had. Through individual enlightenment, as well as collaboration and creation with other loved ones.

This season has been good to me, and it is with that energy that I present this piece.
